about me

Arts, cinema, and technology have always fascinated me. 

My journey of self-expression began at the early age of 5 when I was developing original paintings and stories. There was immense satisfaction in putting ideas on paper and canvas. 

Coming from a family of book publishers, I was always surrounded by stories and blessed with a grandfather who was a great storyteller. That set the foundation for me to develop my writing skills and attracted me to narrative-driven projects. 

During my teenage years, I chose to hone the craft and gain as much knowledge as possible. At the age of 16, I directed my first documentary for a prestigious inter-school competition and was awarded “Best Film”. This was it! All my interests found a meeting point in film-making, where I was able to write, shoot, direct, produce, package, and make my ideas come to life. I believe this transition was the most natural and expected one for me.

I also dabbled in Photography, writing Non-Fiction Content,  Graphic Designing, Social Media Marketing, and even Front End Web Development as these were all related industries and added to my skill-set exponentially. It’s safe to say that my journey in experimenting with my interests and talents has been ever-so-amazing! I landed myself great opportunities one after the other out of sheer passion and relentlessness to keep doing something new.

Since 2011, I have worked at senior positions in Direction and Production on 10 feature films, a few shorts, 2 web shows, and over 500 TV commercials. (Prominent clients include Veganuary, Bajaj Foundation, Flipkart, Godrej Nature’s Basket, and Brand Factory). 

As an educator, I have conducted offline and online workshops and taught Programming and Experimental Art to more than 4000 students across the world. Also, as a professional artist, my paintings and lifestyle products have collectors from over 7 countries. 

In 2020, I turned Entrepreneur and took the biggest leap of my life to start two new ventures - TheColorBirdie (a multidisciplinary art and design brand focusing on home decor, lifestyle, fashion, and gifting products) and Ra.Ri.Ro (a fashion-forward jewellery brand focusing on handmade creations with unconventional materials)

Many have asked me over the years how I’m able to multitask and be a serial up-skiller. Well, I can’t answer “how” but all I can say is that while I am here, I might as well do it all! :)
